Yesterday I checked one of my sites (http://bestislamicsites.com) and it wasn’t loading… I thought it’s probabily server playing up again. I forgot to check it after that, and today I received an email from Dreamhost saying:

I’m very sorry but I had to disable bestislamicsites.com. You were using
this as a topsites, and topsites on shared hosting is really bad. Once
the clicks start coming in, the web server falls over again and again,
and the service just can’t keep up with the concurrent connections.

I apologize that I had to take this action, but in shared hosting, we
have to act for the greater good, and topsites damage performance
horribly.

Thank you for your understanding!

Looks like now I have to move it to iGraphic.co.uk server, which could take few good hours… fingers crossed.

Signed upto plaxo.com today, it looks exactly like facebook. First I thought it’s a clone of facebook, but later I realised it’s actually associated with Google’s OpenSocial initiative, so I am pretty sure they will grow quicker than Facebook. It already has 40 million registered members.

For time being I still prefer Facebook.

Watched this advert on TV other day, thought it’s really cleverly filmed. The whole advert is recorded from a young football player’s perspective and slowly becoming a professional, also tries to portray all the highs and lows of professional football. Personally I think they are trying to show Robin Van Persie, because he’s the only player who plays for Arsenal as well as Holland.
