Boris Johnson has defeated Ken Livingstone as Mayor of London in a disaster ending for the Labour party. Liberal Democrat candidate Brian Paddick came third. The Conservative Johnson 1,168,738 votes to Labour incumbent Livingstone’s 1,028,966.There was a record turnout of 45%. Ken Livingstone said he took full responsibility for his defeat.

I wonder if Ken lost because of his affiliation with Labour? Also i wonder if Boris will start his Islamophobic policies as many have predicted or if he will just do his best to be a good mayor for all citizens as he promised.
Ah damn, now our city will be run by a dumb ass like Bush. I seriously think Ken lost because of his association with Labour, surely everyone knew what a pathetic dumb joker Boris is.
as sure as I would be with Livingstone or any other mainstream politician. They’re all as bad as each other. I think people make them out to have so much power - in actual fact they have little.
He probably has the power to muck up our transport system though (although it won’t make too much of a difference given its diabolical state.)
